Green Municipal Fund The Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal Fund provides loans and grants, builds capacity and shares knowledge to support municipal governments and their partners in developing communities that are more environmentally, socially and economically sustainable. It is the only national fund that specifically addresses the needs of municipal governments and their partners. Its range of financial solutions, resources, expertise and services supports infrastructure initiatives that improve the quality of our air, water and soil and reduce greenhouse gases. It supports projects from the early stages of project design up to and including the physical implementation of capital projects.

Scientific Research and Experimental Development Tax Incentive Program The Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Tax Incentive Program is a federal tax incentive program, administered by the Canada Revenue Agency that encourages Canadian businesses of all sizes and in all sectors to conduct research and development (R&D) in Canada. It is the largest single source of federal government support for industrial R&D. The SR&ED program gives claimants cash refunds and/or tax credits for their expenditures on eligible R&D work done in Canada.

Sustainable Development Technology Canada  SDTC’s mission is to act as the primary catalyst in building a sustainable development technology infrastructure in Canada. SDTC works closely with an ever-growing network of stakeholders and partners to build the capacity of Canadian clean-technology entrepreneurs, helping them form strategic relationships, formalize their business plans and build a critical mass of sustainable development capability in Canada. SDTC has two funds: The SDTC Tech Fund and the NextGen Biofuels Fund. The $550M SD Tech Fund™ is aimed at supporting the late-stage development and pre-commercial demonstration of clean technology solutions: products and processes that contribute to clean air, clean water and clean land that address climate change and improve the productivity and the global competitiveness of the Canadian industry. The $500M NextGen Biofuels Fund™ is aimed at supporting the establishment of first-of-kind commercial scale demonstration facilities for the production of next-generation renewable fuels and co-products.
