New Online Micro-Certificate Program: Advanced LCA of Clean Liquid Fuels

Following the success of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of Clean Fuels micro-certificate launched last fall, BCBN and the University of British Columbia are introducing a new micro certificate, Advanced LCA of Clean Liquid Fuels, starting on October 6, 2025.

This 8-week online program offers hands-on training in advanced LCA modelling tools, including GHGenius, Fuel LCA, and the CA-GREET Model. The focus will be on modelling liquid fuels, including biodiesel, renewable diesel, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), equipping professionals to meet the growing demand for carbon accounting expertise.

The programs are eligible for the StrongerBC Future Skills grant, which covers up to $3,500 per person.

UBC will host an online micro-certificate Information Bioeconomy Session on September 4, 2025.
