BC Bioenergy Network (BCBN) invites you to attend the May West Coast Bioenergy Guild featuring special guest Mark Cooper, CEO of Prairie Clean Energy. Our special guest will present on “The Impending Agricultural Residue Biomass Rush.”

About the Special Guest:
Mark Cooper, CEO of Prairie Clean Energy
Mark Cooper, the President and CEO of Prairie Clean Energy, previously held the same roles at the Saskatchewan Construction Association. He also served as the Director of Policy and Communications for the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association and worked for the governments of Saskatchewan and Alberta.
He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Regina and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Royal Roads University. He is a certified negotiator and mediator, a Project Management Professional, and recently concluded the Director’s Education Program with the Institute of Corporate Directors, achieving the ICD.D professional designation. Mark has a LEAN Yellow Belt and is a trained adult educator.
Mark currently sits on the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Board of Directors, where he chairs the Audit and Finance committee, and on the Board of the Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership. He is also a Board member of Prairie Clean Energy. He’s previously served on the boards of the Regina Food Bank, the Canadian Construction Association, the Friends of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, Government House Foundation and the Al Ritchie Community Association.

Our Special Guest will discuss the impending Agricultural Residue Biomass Rush and how the Canadian West needs to be ready to ensure that Canada retains the full advantage of this coming rush.

Prairie Clean Energy is a Saskatchewan-headquartered company that specializes in the deep decarbonization of multiple industries by aggregating and densifying agricultural residue into pellets for bioenergy and other high-value products.

About the West Coast Bioenergy Guild
The objective is for attendees to share knowledge and develop relationships. This foundation will accelerate the sector.
Established in 2009, the Guild is a monthly social gathering in the bioenergy/cleantech sector. A key opinion leader from the bioenergy/cleantech sector is invited to share their insights to enrich the community. Examples of previous Special Guests include Jack Saddler (UBC-Forestry), Don Roberts (Nawitka Capital), Paul Austin (Fort Capital), and Ken Shields (Conifex Timber).
For online events, the introduction commences at 11:00 AM PT, followed by a presentation by the Special Guest and a question-and-answer session. The event concludes at 12:00 PM PT.
