Canada Invests in Carbon Capture and Storage in Alberta

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) announced over $21.5 million in funding to support carbon capture, utilization, and storage technologies in Alberta. The investment will advance projects such as Bow Valley Carbon’s sequestration facility, Enbridge’s Wabamun Hub, Enhance Energy’s Origins CCS hub, and new diesel retrofit and monitoring technologies. These initiatives aim to reduce emissions from hard-to-abate sectors and strengthen Canada’s position as a clean energy leader.
