China New Energy Group to Commercialize Modular BioReactor in California

China New Energy Group partnered with Alberta-based BioEnergy Solutions Inc. to commercialize a modular, containerized waste-to-energy system known as the bioReactor. The first commercial deployment is planned for a major cattle operation in California’s San Joaquin Valley. Housed within a 40-foot shipping container, the bioReactor uses pyrolysis to convert manure and organic waste into clean thermal energy and biochar, delivering up to 1.5 megawatts of thermal energy per hour from 2 tons of cow manure. This initiative aims to establish micro-power grids for agricultural operations by placing bioreactors near waste sites.
