Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is inviting comments on a draft federal offset protocol aimed at reducing methane from liquid manure. Eligible activities include anaerobic digestion, mechanical, and chemical treatment. Projects that reduce GHGs could earn federal offset credits.

The Canadian Biogas Association (CBA) is gathering industry feedback by April 11th, 2025, while the final deadline to submit comments to ECCC is April 29th, 2025.
