Neptune Bioinnovation Centre Opens in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia inaugurated the Neptune BioInnovation Centre in Dartmouth, a 51,000-square-foot facility poised to become a global leader in biofermentation and spray drying. As Canada’s first and one of only three such centres worldwide, it aims to bolster the province’s bioindustrial sector. The centre is projected to create over 2,400 jobs and contribute $334 million annually to Nova Scotia’s GDP. Funded through an $ 18 million public-private partnership, the facility will support advancements in biotechnology, agriculture, alternative proteins, and green chemicals.
