Waga Energy received CA$15 million in financial support from the Québec government to advance its renewable natural gas project at the Hébertville-Station landfill in the Saguenay Lac Saint Jean region. The funding, provided through the Electrification and Climate Change Fund, will support construction of a facility using Waga Energy’s WAGABOX technology to upgrade landfill biogas into renewable natural gas. The project contributes to Québec’s objective of increasing renewable natural gas integration while reducing emissions from waste management.
