Southwest Airlines Launches Renewable Ventures Subsidiary to Advance SAF and Announces Investment in LanzaJet

Southwest Airlines launched Southwest Airlines Renewable Ventures (SARV), a subsidiary focused on acquiring scalable SAF to meet its goal of replacing 10% of its jet fuel consumption with SAF by 2030. Additionally, the airline is investing $30 million in LanzaJet, Inc., a SAF technology provider with patented ethanol-to-SAF technology and the world’s first commercial ethanol-to-SAF plant, as a key part of the SARV investment portfolio.
