The launch of the Wanagekong-Biiwega’iganan Clean Energy Corporation (WBCEC) by Ten Treaty 3 First Nations, in partnership with Vancouver-based Highbury Energy, marks a significant milestone in clean energy innovation. This innovative initiative will convert wood waste—such as bark, sawdust, and logging debris—into 20 million litres of sustainable, low-carbon transportation fuels annually.
