FESBC unveiled 42 newly funded projects across the province of British Columbia. These initiatives will either aid in transporting uneconomical forest fibre to pulp and pellet mills or green energy facilities or assist communities in reducing their wildfire risk. These recent funding allocations stem from the Ministry of Forests’ earlier contribution of $50 million to FESBC this year. The objective is to bolster fibre supply by making use of uneconomical fibre, simultaneously decreasing wildfire risk, and providing support to workers and communities.
