In collaboration with the UBC Faculty of Forestry and UBC Extended Learning, BC Bioenergy Network is launching an online micro-certificate program: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of Clean Fuels. The 8-week program begins on October 14th, 2024. It covers an introduction to LCA of clean fuels, the regulatory context in North America, LCA models, and an introduction to the techno-economic assessment of fuels to support business decisions.
Watch the video “Why Your Knowledge of LCA Principles Matters” by David Schick from the Canadian Fuels Association or read his comments on why this micro-certificate program is a great opportunity in life cycle assessment education.
“As someone working with the Canadian Fuels Association, I see firsthand how dedicated the transportation fuel sector is to finding lower carbon solutions. But there’s no single solution to get us there. We need a range of energy solutions that are tailored to specific needs, resources, and locations. That’s why having more people with solid Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) training is so important. This course is a fantastic way to get that training.” – David Schick
Strengthen your LCA knowledge and enhance your career with this new online micro-certificate!
Eligible for the StrongerBC Future Skills Grant, this course can provide up to $3,500 to support your skill enhancement and educational advancement.
