Expander Energy announced completion of the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase for its proposed Mackenzie Biofuel Project in British Columbia. The project aims to convert forestry wood waste biomass into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel using Biomass Electrolysis to Liquids (BETLĀ®) technology. Expander and the District of Mackenzie are now focused on securing regulatory approvals and capital funding, with a final investment decision targeted by the end of 2026 and commercial production planned for 2029.
